Ducketts Caerphilly Westcombe DairyLife 4d+*
Here in Somerset, we have been producing Caerphilly as far back as the 1800s. Truth is, back then, demand exceeded production and, while originally a Welsh recipe, the Somerset farmers stepped in to help. Duckett’s Dairy stays true to Caerphilly’s heritage and still use traditional methods, making unpasteurised cheese with a natural rind. The family-run dairy still use the 20-year old brine and original brining tank. This attention to detail simply adds to the complex and distinct taste of Duckett’s Caerphilly and distinguishes it from others.
A bright, zesty cheese with flavours of fresh grass, raw mushroom and citrus, it’s perfect for enjoying in the great outdoors.
