This year's Bristol Food Connections line up is looking hot and reeeeal tasty. And so we are getting very excited here at fresh-range HQ that so many of our team, producers and customers will be right at the heart of it. We thought you'd like to hear all about where we're involved first hand from us here so you can plan ahead to make this May bank holiday weekend foodie-fantastic!

You can find us all weekend...

Saturday 30th April - Monday 2nd May - at the Food Producers Market in Millennium Square

Come and meet the team at our gazebo in the Food Producers Market in Millennium Square over the long weekend. We'll be running a fun activity to keep the children occupied, along with a healthy snack for each child who gets involved. If you have any questions for us and want to have a chat about what we do, we'd love to meet you.

The fresh-range school cook off in association with Bath & North East Somerset Council

Celebrating the council's commendable local food strategy integrating local food producers into the supply chain for over 60 schools in the region, fresh-range invites you to get set for a ‘Ready, Steady, Cook’ event with children from local Bath & North East Somerset (B&NES) schools cooking up their own seasonal recipes all within the school meal budget. They will be helped by local chefs and school cooks. We'd love you to join in by helping taste the dishes and voting for your favourites. It's FREE!

Dig & Dine with fresh-range - A workshop empowering children to grow & cook food their own food

fresh-range is providing the produce for our friends Darran McLane (ex-Riverford grower and all round food growing star) and Glyn Owen (ex-school teacher turned passionate childrens cooking coach and Food For Life program manager) as they bring to life a wonderful workshop of growing and cooking food for children. Cost £15 - advanced booking here.

Friday 29th April - The Travelling Kitchen – at Glenfrome Primary School 

fresh-range are excited to be involved in this special event for the children of Glenfrome Primary - we'll be providing the produce for a whole school tasting of breads, dips, mezze and relishes from around the world. The children will be making the food, inspired by their own family recipes, to reflect the diversity of the school and allow children to experience new foods and flavours. The event will be run by Sarah Francis and Clare McLoughlin of The Travelling Kitchen - a Bristol-based social enterprise who work with schools and community groups, designing and delivering cookery workshops to inspire children and the wider community to engage creatively with food and feel confident about cooking.
